Engage.App
Consumer ENGAGEment for Smart Co-LEARNING in the Fruit and Vegetable Supply Chain of Emilia-Romagna
Educational communication plays a key role in the sustainable development of the fruit and vegetable supply chain, as it provides an opportunity to increase consumer awareness of the impact of purchasing choices and to enhance their engagement through interactive and experiential methods.
Gamification is particularly effective in creating impactful learning environments. Through a combination of storytelling techniques, IoT, and direct interaction with consumers, the project aims to develop a gamification app that actively involves consumers in the supply chain, guiding them toward healthier choices and promoting awareness and transparency in the production and origin of fruit and vegetable products.
The goal is to enable consumers to contribute to climate change adaptation and mitigation by promoting an integrated approach to carbon farming and environmental sustainability, as well as emphasizing the nutritional value of fruit and vegetable products. The ambition is to transform the app into a “data source” that can feed into advanced Big Data management platforms, providing strategic information for technical assistance in the relevant production chains.
